A screw compressor or twin-screw compressor is used to compress gases. A screw compressor is a housing with two rotors with a screw profile (m/f). As the rotors start to totate, the gas is compressed between the rotors. The housing and rotor is a set which is the element. Depending on the desired final pressure multiple elements can be applied in series. The drive of the compressor is done with an electric motor.
A screw compressor can run dry (oil free) or can be injected with oil. The oil serves three purposes: lubrication, sealing and cooling.
Our compressor consists, besides the element, of an inlet filter, aftercooler, oil cooler, intercooler and controls.
